A journey through ‘ARK’, Stephen Ellcock’s vast visual treasury of Earth’s living wonders - from microbes to megafauna, from slime moulds to sea dragons- a celebration of biodiversity, a call to attention, and a reminder that images can reshape how we see the world and our place within it.

In this richly illustrated talk, Stephen Ellcock explores the making of ARK, his new compendium of Earth’s living marvels. Moving through centuries of art, science, myth, and imagemaking, he reveals how visual culture can rekindle our sense of connection to the natural world. Ark is a glorious affirmation, a celebration of the wonder and richness of life that invites us to see the world anew and to recognise the deep kinship that binds all living things.
