While Christianity is often viewed and practiced through the leans of patriarchy, there exists within the religious a rich tradition of female mysticism. Made up of saints, warriors, martyrs, and mystics who were often persecuted by the very church they were apart of, these women created and passed down a spiritual tradition still alive today.
This is a class exploring the history, lore, and magical practices associated with female mystics and saints. We will begin with an overview of the Christian mystical tradition, before examining the lives and mysteries surrounding individual female mystics, such as Joan of Arc, Teresa of Avila, and Catherine of Siena. Finally, we will conclude with a guide through practical magical tools to bring their magic into their own practice.
