Phra Phru Nang Thai Buddha Amulet

$35.00

Thailand boasts an incredibly rich tradition of folk magic, with various amulets and wearable magical objects designed to protect the wearer. In this Phra Phru Nang amulet, the Buddha sits peacefully in meditation posture on a lotus cushion beneath a tree—presumably the bodhi tree. He is flanked by two of his closest disciples, Sareebudd (renowned for his wisdom) and Mokalana (renowned for his magical and psychic powers). The amulet’s metal case features a Rahu-like figure at the top.

Phra Phru Nang amulets were often buried within temple crypts or stupas, believed to offer the wearer protection, good luck, success, and prestige.

About 2” x 2”. Pressed clay in oxidized metal case. Comes with leather cord for wear.
