The Camena Tarot is a 26-card divination deck, co-created by artist Lou Benesch and tarot scholar Laetitia Barbier. Inspired by the French tradition of reading with the major arcana alone, it features 22 Marseille-style arcanas and 4 original Camena cards linked to the element of water.
This deck is the result of a creative dialogue between Laetitia’s deep symbolic knowledge and Lou’s visionary visual language. It honors the Camenae, ancient Roman water spirits and seers, whose songs echo through the cards. The four additional cards are dedicated to them—gateways to the archaic spirit of water.
With gilded edges and an extra-large format, each card invites contemplation and emotional immersion. The 70+ page guidebook, written by Laetitia, includes the story of the deck, poetic meditations, symbolic interpretations, spreads, and ritual practices—designed to guide both seasoned readers and curious seekers.
